VIDEO: How to play Hotel California SOLO PART 1 | Guitar Lesson & Tutorial

This is Part 1 of 4 videos teaching how to play the epic end solo of Hotel California by The Eagles. The end solo is a duet between Don Felder and Joe Walsh. In this video guitar lesson, you will learn how to play Don Felder’s opening guitar solo. This solo uses the minor pentatonic scale primarily, and well and interesting slides and bends - a must-know solo for an intermediate guitarist. Don Felder is seen playing a double-neck Gibson SG in live videos with the bridge pickup selected. Make sure to set whatever guitar you are using to the bridge pickup with plenty of overdrive or distortion.
